Game Concept & Mechanics

In Mage War, players command powerful spellcasters from distinct magical schools. Battles emphasize timing, positioning, and strategic synergy in PvP arenas.

A fractured multiverse. Factions of order and chaos. In Above So Below, players shape an evolving world through exploration, conflict, and collective choice. This expands upon our Mage War title with a more expansive MMORPG experience.

Blockchain & Economy

Client Rebrand & Refactor (Aug–Sep 2025)

Rebrand Mage War client to Dusk Meridian: naming, UI skin, input & HUD pass.
Abstract game rules from presentation so the same client can load multiple genres.

Server Core Modularization (Aug–Oct 2025)

Refactor existing servers into clean modules (auth, characters, inventory, combat, quests).
Stabilize current functionality while exposing versioned APIs for future genres.

Data Model & Rules Engine (Sep–Nov 2025)

Introduce data-driven configs for stats, damage, items, and quests with a pluggable rules engine.
Enable per-world tuning (fantasy, sci-fi, survival) without code changes.

Cross-Genre Extensibility (Oct–Dec 2025)

Add genre-agnostic systems: factions, marketplace, instancing, and event bus.
Prove with two content packs: “Arcane Skirmish” (ex-Mage War) and a lightweight tech demo world.

Tooling & Content Pipeline (Nov 2025–Jan 2026)

Ship creator tools: world setup wizard, item/ability editors, quest graph, and import/export.
Automate builds and data validation for rapid iteration and safe hotfixes.

Networking & Scale Tests (Dec 2025–Jan 2026)

Run latency, load, and soak tests; implement interest management and anti-dupe guards.
Target: smooth 100–300 CCU per shard in demo conditions with repeatable metrics.

Vertical Slice Assembly (Jan–Feb 2026)

Package a “playable slice”: login → character select → hub → match/instance → rewards.
Feature parity with pre-refactor gameplay plus cross-genre toggles and updated UI.

Demo Readiness & Showcase (Feb–Mar 2026)

Polish pass: performance, accessibility, logging, and crash-free sessions.
Deliver Q1 2026 demo build with walkthrough script, trailer capture, and feedback loop.
